My Practice

I practice and look to art as a sacred exploration into self, a path to go beyond the superficiality of today’s world. I try to remain in the space of freedom, questioning, while making room for answers to surface on the canvas. My hope is that my art inspires others to peel back layers of who they are, look within, and show the most vulnerable parts of themselves, so as to be accepted for who they completely are. Many of my abstract paintings are categorized by fluid brush strokes, subtle movement, and a softer palate. I incorporate use of mixed media and acrylics, approaching each blank canvas with excitement and curiosity.

My Experience

• I am an emerging artist whose medium is acrylics, oils, mixed media, pastels

• I started painting in 2019, self-taught. I love to write and pair paintings sometimes with poems or shorts, as I believe art and words go together

• I have a disciplined art practice of painting. I strive to dedicate an hour or two a few times a week to develop my artistic practice either through reading, learning and observing other artists, workshops, or practicing different techniques
